Responsibilities
This was one of those rare projects where I was responsible for drawing up the specs, planning, designing and building the application.
Features
- Create galleries, detailed maps, pages and pop-ups all controlled from XML
- XML Style sheets to control layouts, fonts, iconography of each Flash element
- Development mode enabling a content manager to plot placements of icons.
- Library of different icons highlighting different subjects
- Intelligent pop-ups, which changes the position of content so it never is out of view
- Season specific loaders (my favourite is the Autumn loader, which has randomly coloured autumn leaves falling, and a thrifty squirrel collecting nuts for the coming winter)
- Compass navigation and Mini-map navigation with zoom features
- User friendly help pages and menu alt tags
- Full screen mode (which I recommend using)
